Episode 33 Associate Shooting by Ulices Del Toro

In this episode i talk about associate shooting. We had the opportunity to have an associate photographer shoot a wedding for us on our behalf for the very first time. This is something Maria and I have been talking about for sometime, and it is definitely something we have wanted to add to our packages. Associate Shooting can be a really great opportunity to expand your work and take the next step to a more sustainable business. This is something that is very new to us, so I would really love to hear your thoughts on the subject, if this is something you have tried, or currently offer for your business, I’d love to hear your take on this, or if you have questions of your own, I’d love to hear what they are so we can get a discussion going and see what would be the best way to add this to your business.

Episode 32 Libby Peterson of Rangefinder Magazine by Ulices Del Toro

Photo © Keith Barraclough

Libby Peterson is Rangfinder Magazine’s feature editor, I was fortunate enough to have her sit in on a skype call to get to know her and learn about what it means to be an editor for one of the biggest Portrait & Wedding Photography magazine. If you don’t know about Rangefinder Magazine, they offer the latest news and articles on tips, and advice that can help you progress in your photography and grow your business, and the magazine is completely free. It was really interesting to get some insight on what happens behind the scenes of Rangefinder. Every year the magazine celebrates the community of wedding photographers by selecting 30 up and coming photographers to showcase their work in their year end issue known as the 30 Rising Stars. We talked about the long and difficult process in selecting those photographers and Libby also gives us some tips on how to reach out to editors to get your work published.
